So we sponsored a craft show today ,
Salty Not Sweet, that featured mostly local artists and
indi-
crafters. We went to set up a both to promote the studio, but really I just lucked out and got to walk around and meet some terrific artists.
We bought some scarves from
Woolly Mammoth Design to sell at the studio, they are made from cut up tee's and they are awesome! I don't have a picture of them, but I do have a picture of this hat she sells that I would really love to own...I tried it on and it completely covered my ears and wasn't itchy
at all!

I bought a few prints from
JukeBoxArt, and the artist was pretty amazing. She said that while she is listening to music at work all day (she's a graphic artist) images just pop into her head, I believe she uses the term
lyrically inspired, and this is what she comes up with (they also happen to be the ones I purchased):

Then I met Mandi from
Mandizzle and I think I fell in love just a bit with her beautiful headbands and absolutely gorgeous hair (she models everything herself). She didn't have exactly what I was looking for, but she said that she would custom make a headband for me and I already went to
her shop and ordered. Let's just say it's all purple and all wonderful ;) This is what I modeled mine after, just different colors:

So, that's all I actually spent money on (today). But these are some of the vendors that I really loved, too, and that I will add to my
Etsy Favorites for sure!
Casey McClurg makes adorable plush creatures and hats for kids and sells on
her website and in her
Etsy shop. When I asked her about it, she said that not everything she makes is listed, but if I (or any of you!) are interested to just email her about her things. I just keep picturing a bunch of kids running around a backyard all wearing these hats...there are a few options to choose from!

I didn't get the name of one of my other favorites, probably because I was so distraught that she didn't accept credit cards at the show. Her
Etsy shop is filled with lots of good stuff too, although at the show she was running specials, and on her site I have to pay sales tax because I live in Ohio...bummer! Even if I have to pay a little more, I probably will...her items would (and probably will) make some great Christmas gifts!

Jilli Beanz is a wonderful shop that makes hats for babies. I thought of buying one for my new niece who should be showing her little face any day now...but the problem is that her two older sisters popped out with rather large heads :) So I think I will wait until I meet her to order a hat, I may just have to measure her head first!

And that's it for my craft show finds. I never really go to craft shows, and I don't know why! There were so many wonderfully talented people there with great wares to share!
